Samantha T. Nance is a managing member of the Firm. Her areas of practice include wealth transfer planning, including gift and estate tax planning, wills and trusts, asset protection planning, business succession planning, probate and estate administration, and trust administration, as well as complex corporate and taxation planning, including business entity selection, formation, mergers, acquisitions and sales, business governance and compliance, as well as related commercial real property issues and real estate transactions. Samantha assists clients through the entire range of wealth services and planning needs, from asset protection to complex tax planning, estate planning to estate administration, and each individual nuance in between. For her client’s business needs, Samantha guides clients through the entire lifespan of a business: from creation to dissolution, contracts to compliance, employment to expansion, and sale to succession. She has additionally practiced extensively in the areas of administrative law and regulatory compliance, federal and state healthcare law, and complex civil litigation and appeals, bringing a diverse and varied range of experience that serves to benefit her clients through foresight and careful planning designed to prevent future legal disputes.

Samantha was selected for inclusion in the list of Kentucky SuperLawyers Rising Stars from 2017 to 2022 and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for 2021 and 2022. Ms. Nance utilizes her practice experience to further educate her peers through legal education presentations. Presentations include the 2016 Kentucky Association of Administrative Adjudicators Annual Conference, Standing Issues in Administrative Matters; the 2015 Kentucky Paralegal Association Annual Conference, The Administrative Law Process; and the 2013 Kentucky Law Update, Effective Use of Technology in the Courtroom.

Ms. Nance graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Transylvania University in 2005. While attending Transylvania University, she was the recipient of the prestigious William T. Young academic scholarship as well as the Thomas Jefferson scholarship for excellence in Political Science studies. She earned her law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she was a recipient of the Cull Academic Fellowship and member of the Moot Court Board. Ms. Nance participated in the 2011 National First Amendment Moot Court Competition held at Vanderbilt University, as well as the 2012 National Moot Court Competition in Richmond, Virginia.
