XON HOSTETTER

Xon Hostetter (Xon.Hostetter@emwnlaw.com) an associate with EMWN, where he focuses his practice in complex litigation and criminal defense. Xon works diligently to obtain the best possible resolution for his clients, who appreciate the focus and attention to detail he provides to resolving the matter before him, as well as his ability to address potential issues which could arise in the future.
Xon graduated magna cum laude from Asbury College (now University) in 2000 and earned his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Georgia in 2008. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a Senior Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and served on the winning team at the Jerome Prince National Evidence Moot Court Competition. Xon was also selected for the Lumpkin Inn of Court and the Order of the Barristers before graduating and being admitted to the Kentucky bar in 2015.
Prior to joining EMWN, Xon worked for six years as a public defender in the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, handling all kinds of criminal cases first in Shelbyville and then in Lexington. He then joined a litigation firm and defended a wide variety of insured matters for two years before joining EMWN in 2024. Xon has tried ten cases in front of Kentucky juries, gaining acquittals for clients wrongly accused and fair sentences for clients who have been overcharged, and favorable money verdicts for those accused of negligence in civil court.
In his free time, Xon enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and their menagerie of pets, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and perfecting his chili recipe.
